  • Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the Division Manager, the Principal Treasury Officer will serve as a focal point for management of the Bank Group’s current accounts, correspondent banking relationships, foreign exchange processing and investigation, their main duties and responsibilities will be amongst others:

• Arrange and negotiate the opening and closing of all current accounts for the Bank Group. • Manage the relationship with all current account and foreign exchange correspondent banks on behalf of the Bank Group. • Lead, execute and implement all negotiations for terms and conditions for current account and foreign exchange correspondent banks. • Propose, plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly cash inflow and outflow for the Bank’s Group operations in order to ensure that funds are provided for all Bank Group financial obligations and also that excess funds are invested in a timely manner, in order to enhance income from investment. • Monitor movements into and out of all Bank Group current and call accounts, in order to identify the source of all credits and ensure that all debits are transactions executed by the Bank Group, in order to ensure accuracy of bank statements and general ledger balances. • Supervise and verify the processing of all foreign exchange transactions executed for the Bank Group. • Supervise the investigation of all outstanding payments and claims of non-receipt of funds for foreign exchange and disbursements transactions. • Take a leadership role in the successful implementation of and provide day to day support for all SAP procedures to support FTRY operations. • Represent the Division at meetings with current account and foreign exchange correspondent banks.

  • Selection Criteria (including desirable skills, knowledge and experience):

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree or its equivalent in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related discipline. • Knowledge of SAP or other integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferably in TR-Treasury customisation. • Requisite 6 years of relevant practical working experience within a banking environment and in the field of correspondent banking and / or accounts management. • High level skills in communication, negotiation and project management; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and/or French, with a working knowledge of the other language. • Competence in the use of Bank standard software (Word, Excel, Access PowerPoint and SWIFT).
