Join Cardno International Development in Canberra for an exciting opportunity to be part of the Australian Government funded Health Security Initiative (HSI) for the Indo-Pacific.

Background

Kesatuan: Support and Implementation for Health Security in Indonesia and the Indo-Pacific (Kesatuan) is an Australian Government funded initiative comprising two components: the Australia Indonesia Health Security Program (AIHSP) and the Health Security Initiative for the Indo-Pacific (HSI).

The overarching goal of HSI is to contribute to the avoidance and containment of infectious disease threats in the Indo-Pacific with the potential to cause social and economic harms on a national, regional or global scale. This goal will be supported by strengthening capacity at regional and country levels and working across multiple countries with a range of different partners.

About the Role

The Program and Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all HSI activities are carried out effectively and efficiently. The role reports to the Contractor Representative and DFAT and is responsible for the management of the Finance whilst also ensuring compliance with all DFAT and Cardno International Development policies and procedures.

The Program and Operations Manager works collaboratively with project partners and acts as the primary point of contact for DFAT on the day to day implementation of HSI.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a number of manuals, reports and plans over the life of the program including the Operations Manual; Annual Workplan and Budget; Program Inception Plan; etc.
  • Day to day office coordination and maintenance of the Operations Manual.
  • Develop and oversee quality assurance and application of systems and processes including Recruitment; Adviser Management; Logistics; Travel; Financial Management, etc.
  • Develop ToRs for long-term and short-term advisers.
  • Provide oversight for logistics and events arrangements.
  • Provide contracts support to advisers and subcontractors.
  • Provide financial oversight in support of the Administration Officer.
