Healthy Food, Health Planet InitiativeThrough its Food and Agriculture Program, ClimateWorks Foundation hosts a pooled fund with the objective of supporting the Healthy Food, Healthy Planet Initiative (HFHP). A collaborative initiative of civil society organizations (CSOs) and funders, HFHP is united in its efforts to demand that businesses and governments work to align food systems with the climate targets of the Paris Agreement and other United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by transforming animal-source foods; starting with Europe. European CSOs and funders started the initiative in 2020. The group co-created a strategic framework, laying out priority levers on which to campaign and developed a workplan for 2022.
The Initiative aims to achieve its goals by cultivating trust, collaboration, shared narratives, and shared infrastructure and by funding and otherwise supporting new collaborations in the food environment space. It will:

Job SummaryThe Healthy Food, Healthy Planet Initiative is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the pooled fund for the Healthy Food, Healthy Planet Initiative. This position will be based in Europe. The Program Manager will provide strategic direction and leadership to the fund, liaise with funders, track aligned funding, manage grants and subcontracts, provide budget management and administrative support to the fund, and ensure close alignment between the pooled fund and the HFHP Initiative’s vision and goals.

The Program Manager is a contract position. The contract will be with ClimateWorks Foundation, the host of the pooled fund. The initial contract will extend for twelve months, beginning in at the time of hire. The contract will have the opportunity for renewal in late 2022, dependent on ongoing funding and performance.
