About the Position:

Dexis Professional Services is seeking a Program Technical Specialist (Data Entry) to provide support to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), ​​Afghan Partner Relocation Task Force (APRTF). The position reports to a USAID US Direct Hire assigned to the APRTF. The position will be 100% remote. This position is for 1 year with the possibility of being extended. The start date is immediate

Responsibilities:

  • Support the USAID Afghan Partner Relocation Task Force (APRTF). The APRTF is tasked with supporting the Referral Process for the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP). The USRAP is an interagency effort designed to support at risk Afghan nationals who are connected with the United States Government who seek to permanently resettle into the United States.
  • Conduct research (literature and internet based)
  • Participate in interagency meetings to learn key updates in systems processing and design.
  • Provide administrative support for referral case management and document preparation, including tracking and compiling documentation for specific cases.
  • Maintaining a file management system to ensure that case files are complete.
  • Gather, transform, and synthesize large sets of data (qualitative and quantitative), and managing in the following tasks:
    • Create and manage process for tracking case referral information and managing information flow
    • Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database
    • Update case information in a database
    • Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records
    • Ensure accuracy of information, so that verification can be done.
    • Conducting verification to make sure that file info is accurate.
    • Search for and investigate information contained in files.
    • Perform regular database backups to secure data
  • Coordinate and organize communications within USAID, the interagency, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Compile case referral documents and draft case referral a letter for submission to Department of State
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain facility access security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of professional relevant work experience -preference for part of this time being spent working overseas.
  • Experience managing teams who do data management/cleaning.
  • Experience having to manage systems that require collaborative work.
  • Have experience in project administration and management procedures.
  • Be proficient in the use of Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet search engines, and email applications.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Expert multi-tasker and experience managing multiple tasks at once.
  • Fluency in a language of Afghanistan, such as Dari or Pashto.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree plus three (3) years of professional relevant work experience -preference for part of this time being spent working overseas.
  • Familiarity with USAID/Afghanistan grants and cooperative agreements and the related implementing partners.
  • Familiarity with Afghan Government personal identification documents.
  • Experience working internationally or in cross-cultural settings.
