Background/Description UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, seeks applications from Bangladeshi nationals for the following position. UNAIDS brings together the efforts and resources of ten UN system organizations to the global AIDS response. UNAIDS is committed to strengthening support to nationally owned and led responses. UNAIDS has five focus areas including: leadership and advocacy, strategic information and technical support, tracking monitoring and evaluation, civil society engagement and mobilization of resources.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The incumbent person will be is responsible for continuous design, develop and update the operational budget monitoring and the fund-budget monitoring software, create expenditure report and analytical report according to UNAIDS policy. Also assist to create the budget revision reports for programme budget.
  • The incumbent person will be responsible for continuous design development and updating the intranet site for UNAIDS Bangladesh. Develop online address book, Contract management, and annual leave management system. Develop the e-file management system for UCO Bangladesh.
  • Assist to develop the HIV/AIDS data collection tools, provide support to computerized the data collection forms, develop online data collection system, Develop computerized reporting system. Assist the National AIDS/STD programme (NASP) IT focal point and provide technical support.
  • The incumbent person will be responsible for continuous design, develop, host and update the UNAIDS web site and all its tools according to the policy of UNAIDS.
  • The incumbent person will be responsible for the establishment and maintains or carry CRIS -Country response Information system (including database) and ensure its implementation at NASP.
  • The incumbent person will be responsible to maintain regular contact with the UNAIDS regional office (RST) and head office to follow up and implement the UNAIDS standard software policy, hardware policy and assist to complete any IT project of UNAIDS and provide support to update IT system.
  • The incumbent person will assist event Management: Venue and event overall management. Contact with the key persons, provide IT support, Assist to develop the event reports according to the UNAIDS policy.

Core Competencies Desired Competencies Experience in e-file management, Web based programming, web site develop, design and hosting, Establish and Update the CRIS software, familiar with CRIS software will be given preference. Database design and developing. Budget monitoring software design and developing, Assist in budget revision and analysis. Familiar with UNAIDS budgeting system will be given preference. Establish UNAIDS IT policy (for Software, Hardware and IT procurement) and familiar with UNAIDS IT policy.
