Job Description
How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, the intern will contribute and learn how to support the programme department through the following:
The Knowledge Management Intern will be responsible for the following key functions:
Update UNICEF Oman’s child indicators’ database and factsheets with economic, social, and environmental data from national and international sources and visualized by heat maps.
Develop a table on the main economic, social, and environmental data of Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Support the development of knowledge products and advocacy briefs on children’s topics based on office priorities.
Assist in updating the programme content on UNICEF Oman website and other related communication channels.
Assist in updating and implementing the office’s Knowledge Management plan.
Support in tracking the implementation of the Annual Workplan 2025 activities.
Assist in organizing meetings and taking minutes with governmental partners, stakeholders, and missions in Oman.
Perform other programme-related tasks as required.
Other tasks include:
Conduct research as needed.
Draft letters to stakeholders.
Provide translation support (English to Arabic and Arabic to English).
Assist with logistical support for events as necessary.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Graduates from the years 2023, 2024 and 2025 who studied Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, Political Science, or any other relevant discipline.
Strong writing, analytical and visualization skills are an asset
Proficiency in English and Arabic languages is a must.
