POSITION SUMMARY - This position is based in Puerto Princesa City, Philippines

Under the supervision of the Project Finance and Operations Director (PFOD), this position is responsible for the disbursement and financial reporting transactions of the project. The Project Finance Coordinator will ensure compliance of the project to the CIP Delegation of Authority done via CI systems in Concur and Business World which includes: (a) review of Request for Payments, (b) completeness of supporting documents, (c) encoding accurate transaction entries for approval of PFOD prior to payment, and (d) notify CIP Finance Manager for processing of payments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In coordination with the PFOD, ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close for CCNCS project.
  • Upload financial data in the CI financial software, as assigned by the PFOD.
  • In compliance with CIP/CI financial procedures and policies:
    • Provide support to the PFOD to ensure the accurate and timely processing of pay transactions and appropriate reclasses.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of staff cash advances and liquidation, identify discrepancies, and communicate them to the concerned staff.
    • Monitor ageing of cash advances and ensure strict adherence to finance policies.
  • As endorsed by the PFOD, notify and provide CIP Finance Manager of the list of transactions that are approved by PFOD in the system for the processing of payments.
  • Prepare documents for internal and external audits and finance reports/documents that may be requested by the PFOD and CIP Finance Manager.
  • Maintain systematic and complete filing system of finance documents.
  • Monitor compliance of project staff to the bi-monthly timesheet submissions and ensure accuracy of entries.
  • Provide support in the monitoring and checking of Palawan projects and offices’ list of assets and properties.
  • Assist and support in budgeting by providing financial data and trend of project expenses and other budgeting-related tasks.
  • Perform other tasks that may be required by the PFOD to support the project.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Typical office environment.
  • Occasional travel to remote project sites for financial facilitation and support.
  • Ability to work outside the normal work schedule to meet project deadlines.
  • Guidance on flexible work arrangements will be shared during the interview process.
  • This is a fixed-term assignment, “expected to end on October 31, 2026”.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 2 to 4 years of related work experience, specializing in any or all areas of Accounting, Grants and Contracts, and Administration.
  • Maturity in handling confidential information.
  • Good oral and written communication skills (English and Filipino).
  • Knowledgeable in tax regulations and government-mandated benefits.
  • Keen to details and thorough in work output.
  • Willing to abide by CI Code of Ethics and Policies.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Accountancy.
