Global Green Growth Institute Internship Program

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) internship program provides a unique learning opportunity for students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds. The program is designed for talented and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to GGGI’s operations. The program allows selected candidates to gain insight into the work of the Institute and provides assistance and training in various professional fields in a multicultural environment. CURRENT OPPORTUNITY

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is implementing the Empowering Rural Communities of Vanuatu through Renewable Energy Solutions project, funded by DFAT’s REnew Pacific program and co-financed by the UK FCDO. The project aims to improve energy access in rural communities through solar-powered water pumps and standalone PV systems for schools and health centers, with a strong focus on Gender, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI).

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project implementation, logistics, and stakeholder engagement in a multicultural and mission-driven environment.

The assignment will include the following but not limited to:

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops, field visits, and stakeholder meetings (venue booking, travel coordination, catering, materials preparation).
  • Assist in arranging travel logistics for staff and stakeholders, including booking flights, accommodation, and preparing travel itineraries.
  • Assist with procurement processes including quote requests, invoice tracking, and vendor coordination.
  • Help liaise with local vendors and service providers for quotations, deliveries, and service confirmations.
  • Support documentation and reporting (event briefs, minutes, logistical checklists).
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to internal coordination efforts.
  • Assist with communications tasks (e.g., taking photos during field visits, drafting short updates for reports).
  • Help maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical) for project documentation.
  • Assist with data entry and compiling inputs for donor reports and internal updates.
  • Support inventory tracking and asset management for project equipment.
  • Contribute to field activities and community engagement efforts.
  • Other daily office and project related activities requested by the office.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants to the GGGI internship program must at the time of application meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
  • Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Institute’s work.
  • Possess an excellent command of English

QUALIFICATION
  • Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree/diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, outlook) and familiarity with digital tools, e.g.: Teams, SharePoint)
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Prior experience in administration/logistics support
  • Knowledge of travel logistics processes is a plus
