Job Description

The Project Support and Deliver (PSiDe) team advances the ‘deliver’ area objectives by managing and stewarding institutional donor relationship and resources, supporting the growth of CRS’ business and influence, and building the capacity of staff across the spectrum of resource acquisition and management.

The Project Support Manager (PSM) is responsible for coordinating support for a regional portfolio of projects and works with the respective region on strategy, prioritization of support, and other needs. Dependent on portfolio, the PSM may supervise one or more Project Support Officers (PSOs) in the support of the portfolio. The PSM will help facilitate the successful implementation of projects from start-up to close-out through close working relationship with Chiefs of Party, country program and regional office personnel, and with other CRS departments. The PSM will represent the interests of CRS, the region, and the projects externally through effective engagement with the donor and internally through close working relationships with other CRS units. The PSM will also lead and coordinate their team’s contributions to business development efforts as needed, primarily, but not solely, within their portfolio.

Additionally, the PSM will support regional efforts such as understanding the operating standards of the region, knowledge and coordination of whole-region activities, strategies, and priorities, communication and messaging of unit priorities to the region. As part of the PSiDe leadership team, the PSM will contribute to team learning, initiatives, innovations, and overall strategy.

This position is contingent on funding.

Roles and Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive and seamless project and award management support to country programs and regions, including the management of a team of PSOs, as appropriate.
* Coordinate with the CRS Regional Office on project support, portfolio development and management, setting priorities, and issue resolution, including negotiating agreements and modifications with institutional donors.
* Serve as a leader in project management, exercising sound judgement and innovative solutions to challenges in implementation.
* Model the application of best practices in business development, project management, and award management among all team members, and provide leadership to the adoption of best practices among CRS offices and departments.
* Analyze and synthesize information from a range of data sources to understand issues, identify options and support sound decision-making.
* Convene Non-USG support teams, GSSU, OGC, GRC, and other internal stakeholders, as needed, to ensure that the region is holistically supported in all of its needs.

Basic Qualifications (BQs)

Education and Experience –
* Bachelor’s degree in international development, international relations, communications, English, marketing, journalism, or other related field.
* Minimum six years of relevant experience, including at least three years of experience traveling and working in low-resource settings.

Required Languages –
* Fluency in English required; working ability in French or Spanish strongly preferred.
* Travel – Ability and willingness to travel to low-resource environments in foreign countries as needed, up to 15-25% of job time.

* This position is based in Baltimore, Maryland. Work may be required on weekends and evenings during emergencies
