Job Description

We are seeking experienced USAID proposal writers for future consulting opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead writer of technical proposals, producing technical drafts for review that are compliant with and responsive to USAID solicitation requirements, and incorporating feedback into drafts.
  • Collaborate with in-house design team and project partners to develop win strategy, technical approach, and project activities, including attending design sessions, proposal review sessions, and other meetings.
  • Work closely with the World Learning proposal design team, maintaining consistent communication, and meeting all assigned deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of writing technical sections of successful USAID proposals, especially for workforce development, education, civic engagement, civil society strengthening, institutional strengthening, inclusive development, or positive youth development programming; strong technical expertise in these areas preferred; and well-versed in relevant USAID trends and strategies.
  • Familiar with Shipley proposal processes and international development project design; strong technical writing skills; field experience with international development projects is a bonus.
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams and other platforms for virtual collaboration.
