PTD Analyst Vacancy
Provide AMEX support and assistance with administrative responsibilities for Policy and Technical Division (PTD) requirements as specified by the USAID Office of Food for Peace (FFP.) including:
Responsibilities:
- Provide information support in the areas of report writing and material updates; assist FFP with expansion of the training portfolio as required; and support and assist in the modification (or development) and implementation of a public relations, communication and outreach strategy for FFP.
- Support and assist in the planning and organization for Title II specific events, such as the Food Aid Consultative Working Group (FACG), and follow-up actions as necessary, The Analyst shall support the planning and organization, and follow-up of the FACG and FACG Working Group meetings through the following functions:
- Organize and maintain the FACG files, answer telephone inquiries, coordinate communication among FACG members, draft notices and reports to FACG members as provided or requested by the CTO;
- Organize FACG meetings by notifying members, making meeting arrangements, (renting facility) organizing meetings and related material, drafting minutes of meetings and other reports as required by FACG and its standing working groups. It is anticipated that a minimum of four FACG meetings and six working group meetings may be held annually;
- Provide technical services to the FACG to carry out agenda setting, the development of discussion papers, technical research, preparation of executive summaries, and final reports, and other services as determined by the Chairman or his designate.
- Support and assist in the provision of analytical data and operational support.
- Support and assist the Program Operations Division for calls forward, procurement tracking, booking, shipping, budget analysis and presentations.
Position Minimum Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship (in order to obtain a Secret Clearance)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated analytical capability
- Familiarity with word processing, especially Excel and ACCESS, and other office-related computer software systems
- Excellent oral and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including flexibility
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Master’s degree
- Experience in food aid and/or USAID contracting
- Experience living/working in a developing country
- Foreign language proficiency
