Description of task
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of UN Public Information Officer’s designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Public Information Assistant on COVID-19 will:
- Develop social media posters and videos related to COVID-19;
- Adapt WHO and UN made COVID-19 videos and visuals to Uzbekistan’s content;
- Assist in developing COVID-19 training and video tutorial materials in Uzbek and Russian languages;
- Promote UNV solutions and opportunities in response to COVID-19 and recovery;
- Monitor local mass media to better understand information and communication trends and flow with regard to COVID-19;
- Monitor local social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Telegram to better understand information and communication trends and flow with regard to COVID-19;
- Develop cover pages and layouts for daily COVID-19 situational reports.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent
Education - Additional Comments:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree;
Required experience: 24 Months
Experience remark:
- At least 2 years of work experience in UN agencies or other international organizations;
Language skills:
- English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
- Uzbek(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
Area of expertise: Public information and reporting
Area of expertise details:
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
- Competent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, IMovie
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
Driving license: No
