Investing in Women

Investing in Women (IW) is a multi-country Australian Government initiative in Southeast Asia that seeks to improve women’s economic participation as employees and as entrepreneurs and influence the enabling environment to promote Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE). It commenced in April 2016 with operations in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar and is due to run through to June 2023. It is managed out of the Gender Equality Branch (GEB) of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in Canberra. The Program is supporting the following outcomes:

  • More businesses achieve improved gender equality in their workplaces
  • Intentional impact investments in women’s small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) increase
  • Positive shifts in gender norms related to workplace gender equality

The Opportunity

The Records Management Consultant will undertake a review of the IW folder structure, make recommendations to improve it, and implement the recommendations. The objective of the review is to identify and implement a standardized folder structure system that will ensure that users can readily retrieve information they need.

Key Duties

  • Under guidance of the Operations Director/DCEO, the Records Management Consultant will complete the following duties:
  • Review the current folder structure and how are files saved
  • Consult with each team to identify the work that they are engaged in, and how they use the folder system
  • Assess the current folder structure based on the findings of the consultation conducted with each team
  • Create a Folder Structure Framework
  • Make recommendations to the IW leadership team on how to improve the current folder structure
  • In collaboration with each IW team, implement the approved improvements to the IW Folder Structure

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience, and in-depth understanding in records management
  • A relevant records management qualification or an equivalent level of knowledge
  • Similar consulting work in reviewing record management systems and developing more effective and efficient structures for record keeping and retrieval
