Background of the Program
The DFAT-funded Knowledge Partnership Platform (KONEKSI) is Australia’s flagship program in the Indonesia knowledge and innovation sector. KONEKSI’s goal is to achieve an enduring relationship between Indonesia and Australia that advances mutual interest and supports Indonesia’s inclusive and sustainable development. The purpose of the program is to increase the use of knowledge-based solutions for inclusive and sustainable policies and technologies. This purpose positions KONEKSI as a vehicle to produce knowledge on complex socio-economic problems, where effective solutions are often beyond a unique sector or category of stakeholders. It will support both the knowledge to policy cycle (K2P) and the knowledge to innovation cycle (K2I), in a complementary and synergistic way. KONEKSI will focus on two End of Investment Outcomes (EOIOs):
About the Engagement
KONEKSI is seeking a qualified organization/firm to provide comprehensive Media and Social Media Monitoring services.
To deliver the two End of Investment Outcomes (EOIOs) by 2027, KONEKSI provides activities through four services lines. The centrepiece is the KONEKSI grants mechanism (service line 1), configured to incentivise collaborative research by Indonesian and Australian knowledge organisations drawn from academia, government, and private sector on areas of mutual interest and priority. Alongside this signature offering, KONEKSI provides complementary technical assistance (TA) to these knowledge partnerships, as well as to the National Research Innovation Agency (BRIN), Ministry of Development Planning (BAPPENAS), and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (MoECRT) in support of their roles as key eco-system actors (service line 2). KONEKSI assists knowledge partners to engage with potential users of research output, including policymakers, private sector, and intermediaries to maximise research uptake (service line 3) and to form wider coalitions or networks (service line 4) that can build collective influence on policy and innovation cycles.
KONEKSI will engage a Media and Social Media Monitoring Provider to support the delivery of these services lines and sharpen the Program contribution to improving the use of knowledge-based solutions for inclusive and sustainable development. Moreover, the Media and Social Media Monitoring Provider will support KONEKSI by broadening the available information base on the research ecosystem in Indonesia.
