Job Description

DevTech is currently managing USAID/Indonesia’s Economic Growth Support Activity (EGSA). EGSA has three objectives: i) enabling evidence-based decision making through ongoing analysis that links together the United State Government’s Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS), Journey to Self-Reliance (J2SR), and Government of Indonesia (GOI) priorities (CDCS); (ii) improving Government of Indonesia (GOI technical capacity in tax collection, public expenditure, and financial accountability; and (iii) improving the business enabling environment for foreign and domestic business entities.

DevTech is inviting applications for a full-time Research Associate (RA) position in EGSA. The RA will support EGSA Chief of Party (COP) and Economic Researcher with research, writing, data and statistical analysis of various research on economic issues relevant to EGSA’s work, as well as event/activity implementation support as needed.

• Assist EGSA COP and Economic Researcher in conducting research, preparing reports, arranging meetings, and facilitating contacts in support of EGSA initiatives.
• Collect and compile data, documents; format and edit documents as needed.
• Maintain and update quantitative and qualitative economic, financial, or statistical databases
• Assists COP and technical experts in preparation of meetings and events, including but not limited to: event related procurement, administration (invitation, attendance, reconcile travel costs), and event implementation.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.
• University degree in economics, finance, math, or statistics with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and quantitative analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software such as STATA, EViews, R, Phyton or SPSS
• Advance in Microsoft Office skills
• Proficiency in English oral and written
• Ability to translate document from Bahasa Indonesia to English, vice versa
