Rwanda Senior Environmental/Compliance Specialist AECOM is a holder of the USAID Infrastructure, Energy and Engineering IQC and we are looking for a Senior Environmental/Compliance Specialist for the Rwanda Rural Feeder Roads Improvement Program (RFRIP) RFTOP. This program will support the objectives of President Obama’s Feed the Future initiative in Rwanda. USAID/Rwanda’s Feed the Future activities promote broad-based agriculture and sustainable economic growth. This is a 5-year program. The Senior Environmental/Compliance Specialist will: · Ensure that all the rural road rehabilitation activities are compliant with USAID environmental regulations in accordance to 22 CFR 216.6 · Carry out an overall Programmatic Environmental Assessment, · Complete an Environmental Assessment · Create an Environmental Management Plan for each road segment to be worked on The Senior Environmental/Compliance Specialist should have at least: · 10 years experience in environmental management · 2 years in Environmental Assessment for earthen road construction works · Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering or a related field highly preferred · Previous work experience in a developing country highly preferred
