Job Description
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
Ensure overall project management in line with approved objectives, schedule and budget.
Ensure communication and reporting to the donor, including narrative and financial reports, responses to technical questions, and ongoing documentation of project progress and challenges.
Oversee collaboration with a local research institution for baseline data collection, household surveys and regular monitoring and evaluation.
Manage the technical relationship with the specialist water consultancy firm, responsible for diagnostics, feasibility studies and technical specifications of the devices.
Organize consultation meetings with government and local stakeholders (Ministry of Water, ONEA, Health, Education, communities, water management committees).
Coordinate the installation of chlorination devices, the training of water point managers, and the deployment of quality control tools.
Ensure the proper maintenance of the project database, the quality of the data collected and their analysis for decision-making.
Contribute to the scaling-up strategy and documentation of lessons learned from the pilot project.

Qualifications
Required qualifications:
University degree (Bac+5 minimum) in public health, project management, water engineering, environment, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional experience in coordinating complex projects, preferably funded by international donors.
Proven experience in managing relationships with donors (reporting, strategic communication, requirements management).
Experience working with local research institutions and/or coordinating surveys and evaluations.
Proven skills in the technical management of WASH projects or decentralized water treatment systems.
Excellent skills in report writing, budget monitoring, and strategic planning.
Strong ability to work independently, proactively and results-oriented.
Excellent analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic, integrity, credibility and dedication to CHAI’s mission.
Excellent command of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30-40% of the year
Speak and write French and English fluently.
Additional advantages:
Knowledge of the institutional context of the water and sanitation sector in Burkina Faso.
Previous experience with partners such as ONEA, sector ministries or communities.
Skills in data analysis, database management, or monitoring and evaluation tools (advanced Excel, Kobo, Power BI, etc.)
