Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our office in KL, Malaysia for a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Your role is to drive and manage the current projects, ensuring client satisfaction is guaranteed. In addition to this, you will be a client focus engineer who can prove strong project management, client management and coordination skills by a display of previous project delivery. This diverse role will involve a combination of on-site and office based engineering, providing design, project support, and specialist advice to the business. The position will present opportunities to develop your skills in the area of business development.

We are looking for people with the ability to ‘think outside the box’ in terms of providing technical solutions, as well as challenges with a range of clients.

Technical expertise (200kV and above) in Primary and Secondary design in power industry (generation and/or utilities) is essential, including substation design, protection and controls, system study (i.e. load flow, fault calculation, and dynamic analysis).

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Registered Professional Engineer.

• Have 12 to 15 years’ experience mainly in design as consulting engineer

• Have carried out pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies for power plant projects of at least 50MW and above.

• Have design electrical power transmission and distribution system

• Have sufficient experience with power generation electrical equipment, substation protection/control system, and electrical auxiliaries

• Have experience in leading and managing electrical design

• Proficient in written and oral English
