With a clear mission to be the Green Bank and the Main Partner for Recovery, Sustainable Development, and Integration in LAC, the Knowledge Management Department, through its Sectoral Analysis Unit, is seeking a Senior Sectoral Analysis Executive.
Your main responsibilities will include:
The core challenge of this position is to coordinate the identification, preparation, execution, management, and articulation of programs defined as priorities in the Sectoral Analysis Unit’s Work Plan, with the aim of strengthening the strategic vision for the development of economic and social infrastructure sectors.
To achieve this, the selected candidate will:
- Design and coordinate applied research related to productive and social infrastructure, providing strategic inputs to business areas and countries.
- Lead the development of sectoral policy documents in collaboration with business area specialists, with the goal of enhancing and strengthening Country Strategy Documents.
- Lead the creation of databases and information systems related to infrastructure service indicators, to improve and innovate tools that are essential for public policy decision-making.
- Promote the development of strategic partnerships with other development banks, NGOs, think tanks, universities, and others, to adapt and transfer global best practices to the region.
What we’re looking for:
- A university degree in Economics, Engineering, or related fields, with Master’s ( Doctoral studies is highly desirable).
- Minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience in economic development and public policy areas related to productive and social infrastructure services (transportation, telecommunications, energy, water, education, and health)
Key skills and technical knowledge:
- Expertise in sectoral and regulatory issues applied to economic and social infrastructure in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Experience in public policy research and analysis, and in drafting and editing sectoral reports using quantitative data.
- Multidisciplinary experience, combining analytical knowledge and various approaches under the sustainability pillars: productive, social, and environmental.
- Proficiency in tools and programs for database design and analysis for sectoral studies.
- Knowledge of economic, social, and financial project evaluation.
- Understanding of multilateral banking operations and development financing.
Languages:
- Advanced Spanish
- Advanced English
- Portuguese is desirable
