Senior HMIS Advisor – Zambia Evidence for Health
The International Programs (INPRO) Department at NORC at the University of Chicago seeks a Senior HMIS Advisor for a proposal response for the USAID/Zambia Evidence for Health project. The work will be full-time over a 5-year period and be based in Lusaka, Zambia.
The project team will (1) strengthen the national Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) owned and operated by the Government of the Republic of Zambia’s (GRZ) Ministry of Health (MOH); (2) improve monitoring, evaluation, and research capacities within key government and non-governmental partners; and (3) expand the evidence base for existing approaches to health programming in malaria, nutrition, family planning, maternal and child health, and HIV.
The Senior HMIS Advisor will provide technical, strategic, and programmatic direction for the development and implementation of HMIS aspects of the contract. S/he is responsible for supporting the MOH to improve the generation, identification, collection, processing, storage and dissemination of quality data and strategic information. S/he must have strong knowledge of the HMIS system in Zambia.
