Here’s where you come in:

As Senior Policy Advisor Food Security and Nutrition, you will lead World Vision International policy, advocacy, and external engagement work on food security and nutrition. You will be responsible for developing a whole-of-organisation policy change agenda in support of the objectives of World Vision’s new global advocacy campaign and implementation of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. You will be responsible for advocating for policy changes at the global multilateral level, and developing key evidence-based policy products (ex. policy positions, briefing notes) to support advocacy and external engagement at the global level. You will also collaborate with external and internal stakeholders in support of policy changes at the global, regional, and national levels. You will also ensure World Vision’s evidence base is utilised to position the organization and influence external policy and funding outcomes.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in a food security-related field (ex. Agricultural development/economics/trade, nutrition, food aid, international development, etc.)
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in policy, research, government relations/external engagement, or other specific field relevant to food insecurity and malnutrition;
  • Strong knowledge and proven professional experience working on food insecurity issues and trends;
  • Strong experience and skills in policy influencing, research and analysis;
  • Strong experience in the NGO/civil society sector and/or with multilateral organizations (UN, World Bank, etc.)
  • Ability to Travel up to 10-15%
  • Language Requirements: English; additional languages - especially French and Spanish preferable

Compensation: For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $81368.35 to $101710.44 USD Annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
