We at Maxwell Stamp PLC are looking for a Senior or Principal Consultant to join our Livelihoods and Poverty Reduction (LPR) practice area in London, UK.
The winning candidate would join a small team of international consultants that have a track reconerd in winning large, complex programme implementation contracts in Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and Asia from international development donors such as DFID, the World Bank and AusAid, among others. We are looking for someone who will contribute to the LPR team’s ongoing success by conducting business development activities such as project scoping and country visits, networking and representation, partnership building, technical and commercial proposal coordination and writing, programme and concept design.
This position will also offer the opportunity for the Senior/Principal Consultant to provide technical and project management inputs, in London and overseas, to the programmes that the team is successful in winning. Some recent examples of LPR work include:
The successful applicant will have previous experience working on business development activities within an international development context. The successful candidate will also have a strong technical understanding of at least two of our key thematic areas:

By joining the Livelihoods and Poverty Reduction practice area at Maxwell Stamp PLC, the Senior/Principal consultant will be employed by one of DFID’s key suppliers of services and will be surrounded by a wider office, representing a diverse range of nationalities that share your enthusiasm for delivering effective international development interventions. As an international organisation, Maxwell Stamp also have subsidiaries and joint ventures in United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, Ethiopia and the United States. The other teams within the London office, Human Development, Public Sector Management and Economics and Finance, work collaboratively with LPR and with each other, providing a diverse working experience for employees.
Our primary focus is now on expanding our business and delivering programmes that supports the UK Government’s ‘Aid Strategy’ in tackling extreme poverty building, building resilience, responding to crisis, strengthening global prosperity and security. Our contribution to this strategy will be to effectively deliver interventions that fit within our above-stated areas of expertise.
