Position Summary:

The Senior Project Finance Analyst is responsible for driving CRDF Global’s Technology & Innovation (T/I) Division annual budget, EAC and forecast processes and will serve as the Operating Division’s lead financial resource, working closely with leadership and staff to meet financial targets. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment and will display a can-do attitude focused on building internal relationships across departments. The Senior Project Finance Analyst should have relevant nonprofit accounting and government contracting experience. Role requirements include, but are not limited to, strong customer service, interpersonal and communications skills, knowledge of indirect rates, excellent Excel skills, experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP system and strong problem solving and analytical skills. The Sr. PFA will participate on key process improvement initiatives.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the division long range planning and annual budget process by meeting with managers, preparing detailed financial models, and documenting supporting assumptions, performing analysis and review of preliminary submissions, preparing management presentations, and assembling budget packages
  • Serve as liaison between Finance and Operations and other key stakeholders for integrated financial management.
  • Oversee and manage key project portfolios to ensure proper EACs and risk mitigation is in place
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and create financial models based on assumptions provided by management and data collected for peer organization comparisions

· Provide regular coaching and feedback to reporting employees

· Support business development and proposal budget development, including ability to review and provide guidance on schedule, level of effort planning, scope and budget of proposals.

· Support staff training on project management and financial tools.

· Identify and quantify risks and opportunities to ensure team can mitigate financial impact.

· Analyze key portfolio and division level financial performance, identifying major revenue and cost drivers and reporting variance to plan.

· Create and implement reporting that clearly and easily presents data for users to make decisions.

Qualifications:

· Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, administration, management or related field and 7-10 years of experience.

· Knowledge of financial analysis, cyclical forecasting, EAC and revenue tracking at the program and division level.

· Understands U.S. and foreign government funded programs & experienced in government contracting and indirect rates analysis

· Experience using Microsoft Office, including medium to advanced Excel

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

· Strategic thinker with the ability to manage portfolio and division financials from a tops down and bottoms up level.

· Ability to work in the US indefinitely without sponsorship

· Strong business partnership skills. A doer with the skills to influence, review, oversee and mentor lower-level staff.

· Strong financial systems knowledge including experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos.

· Experience with Costpoint planner preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, multicultural and fast paced environment

· Experienced in process improvement with a solution minded attitude.
