About the Role
As a member of the Country Management Team (CMT) in the Solomon Islands, Senior Program Manager will provide technical and management support to Thematic Program Managers in the overall implementation of the Save the Children programs; Provide intensive support in improving networking and maintaining positive relationships with Government Counterparts and Key Stakeholders at Provincial and National level. Senior Program Manager will also mentor PMs and PCs in maintain effective financial controls and improving grant management. Senior Program Manager will also be responsible for Program Quality & Communication Team that works closely with Program Managers.

You will have
* Significant senior level international experience in managing relief and/or development programs with an international NGO preferably a Child Rights organisation.
* Skills and experience in project/program implementation, monitoring, review and evaluation preferably from a child rights approach in accordance with the SCA and international humanitarian rights standards as well as understanding of beneficiary accountability.
* Substantial people and program management experience with good interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
* Skills & ability to network, influence & negotiate with a range of diverse stakeholders
* Demonstrated leadership skills and strategic planning skills as well capacity building of national staffs.
* Solid experience of line management and performance management
* Solid experience in grant management, including budget holding and donor reporting.
* Ability to provide inputs and contribute to successful project proposals and high quality reports.
* Experience of working with partners and a participatory approach
* Experience in WASH, Humanitarian Emergency Programming or Education is preferred but not required
* Proven emergency experience.
* A commitment to the values and principles of Save the Children Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct
