CoST, the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative is a UK registered charity that supports government, civil society and the private sector in 19 countries to improve the transparency and integrity of infrastructure investments. It has developed an approach that has saved millions of dollars in Thailand due to the deterrent effect of transparency, reformed the roads fund in Honduras that had been corrupted by cartels, ensured a cancer hospital was built in Malawi and and brought reforms to the construction industry in Uganda that has given confidence to local firms to bid for public contracts.
