Job Summary

As an Energy Program Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing projects that support Amazon’s goals to be 100% renewable energy by 2025, and net zero carbon by 2040.

You will collaborate across Amazon to develop and refine program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), drive process improvement projects that reduce carbon emissions and support energy strategy for emerging business operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support internal customers to design new procurement strategies that enable zero carbon energy supply
  • Design tools for existing and new energy programs globally
  • Lead projects to streamline energy procurement activities
  • Communicate effectively at every level and will work collaboratively with stakeholders across Amazon and with external vendors
  • Work at scale, at a fast pace and define a logical path forward in ambiguous situations.

Colorado Pay Transparency:
The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $139,500 - $188,700. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Applicants should apply via Amazon’s internal or external careers site.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) Energy/ Engineering/ Business/ Technology/Information Systems or similar field
  • 3+ years in program management, project management, product management
  • 2+ years of experience with business intelligence platforms, report automation, or data analytics tools to drive business process improvements
  • 2+ years of experience in direct customer or vendor facing role
  • 3+ years of experience partnering effectively with geographically dispersed teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Masters in related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, financial models, and advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience leading initiatives related to renewables, energy or sustainability projects in the energy and utilities industry
  • Experience diving deep into data, existing processes, roles, and systems in order to simplify complex processes
  • Proven track record partnering with business owners to understand requirements, developing analysis to solve their business problems, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver results
  • Experience managing large datasets and building metrics, and reporting mechanisms
  • Proven ability to interface successfully with senior leadership, suppliers, and customers
  • The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills
  • Experience with environmental attribute programs, green tariffs, utility scale renewable project development and systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a passion for producing high-quality work
