Role definition
Role purpose
To be responsible for development, implementation and technical support for Christian Aid SharePoint and other Office 365 applications and solutions. To provide technical ownership of document processing and classification services. To provide technical advice to key business systems owners on application selection and utilisation.
Key outcomes
- Oversee the remaining work of migrating internal sharepoint sites from classic to modern experience.
- Lead in the adoption of SharePoint Syntex for content processing.
- Oversee the development, modification & maintenance of our SharePoint Intranet – writing, amending or converting code as necessary.
- Implement processes for document classification to enhanced search capabilities of SharePoint for employees across the organisation.
- Review the data retention schedule & implement workflows to ensure auto-deletion of documents which have expired the data retention policy.
- Maintain the security of Christian Aid’s data in SharePoint, and able to investigate and solve problems if they arise.
- Provide training and support to SharePoint users globally across the organisation.
- Provide support to all key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure SharePoint applications are used effectively and efficiently.
- Design and develop creative and effective solutions to real business problems and requirements as required.
Person specification
Applied skills/knowledge and expertise
Essential
- Strong knowledge and experience developing solutions for SharePoint Online.
- Experience using Powershell scripting.
- Good communication skills.
- Good evaluation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A team player with the ability to work under own initiative.
Desirable
- Experience of SharePoint Syntex.
- Experience developing solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate & Power Apps).
- Experience using the Microsoft 365 Compliance Center.
- Knowledge of GDPR and information governance.
- Experience in C#/Asp.Net.
