Senior Specialist, Nature Finance

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

FSD Africa’s Nature Programme has evolved into a Centre of Expertise (CoE) dedicated to catalysing finance and investment into nature and conservation across Africa, fostering a transition to a nature-positive economy and sustainable livelihoods.

The Senior Specialist will support the Lead of Nature Finance in driving programme design, implementation, partnership development, and research on nature finance. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading key projects, including the TNFD Africa Pilot and TNFD Nature Data Public Facility Pilot.
• Collaborating across FSD Africa teams to develop nature-based financial instruments and initiatives.
• Designing impactful advocacy and communication campaigns with the Communications team to influence public and private stakeholders.
• Driving thought leadership and contributing to the Nature CoE Africa Knowledge Hub.

This role offers a critical opportunity to shape nature finance strategies and investments in Africa while building cross-sector partnerships and advancing innovative solutions.
