Scope of Work
Introduction
Pact is the promise of a better tomorrow for communities challenged by poverty and marginalization. We serve these communities because we envision a world where everyone owns their future. To do this, we build systemic solutions in partnership with local organizations, businesses, and governments that create sustainable and resilient communities where those we serve are heard, capable, and vibrant. On the ground in nearly 40 countries, Pact’s integrated adaptive approach is shaping the future of international development.
Background
The Public Health System Recovery and Resilience (PHS R&R) Activity, funded by USAID/Ukraine and led by Pact, is a five-year activity that aims to strengthen the Government of Ukraine’s (GOU) capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to public health threats; sustain critical public health services during crisis; protect the health of all Ukrainians including vulnerable and marginalized population groups; and expand mental health support to war-affected populations. By improving core public health capacities at national, regional, and community levels to address health challenges during wartime and the post-war future, PHS R&R contributes to USAID’s efforts in supporting Ukraine to achieve long-term national health security and stability.
Under the PHS R&R Activity, Pact is arranging a Study Tour to the U.S. between September 22 – October 1, 2024, for a group of Ukrainian officials who work on the ongoing development of the All-Ukrainian National Mental Health Program. The Study Tour aims to promote peer-to-peer learning and exchange of knowledge, best practices, and innovative approaches to enhance the All-Ukrainian National Mental Health Program and enable key actors or influencers to serve as Mental Health Leaders or Champions for sustainable, evidence-informed mental health programming in Ukraine. The delegation will consist of 16 representatives from various national and regional health institutions in Ukraine.
