Job Description

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Social Sciences or Social
Work in Livelihood and Social
Entrepreneurship or Development Studies or
Public Policy or Education or a related field.
Experience
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in the
field of skill development or vocational
education or Entrepreneurship or in designing
and implementing skill development and
livelihood enhancement programs or
projects.
• Proven track record in managing vocational
training initiatives, livelihood projects, and
income-generation activities.
• Relevant Experience in conducting market
assessments and labor market analysis to
align skill training with industry demands.
• Knowledge of entrepreneurship development
and small business management.
• Knowledge of native language is preferred
• Experience of working in Sikkim / Hilly or
north eastern region

Responsibilities
• Lead the design and planning of skill
development and livelihood programs.
• Conduct skill gap analysis and labour market
assessments to identify demand-driven skills
and job opportunities.
• Develop and adapt vocational training
curricula that align with industry standards
and requirements.
• Devise strategies and interventions to
enhance the livelihoods of program
beneficiaries through income-generating
activities and entrepreneurship support.
• Oversee the implementation of vocational
training programs, ensuring quality training
delivery and monitoring the progress of
trainees.
• Facilitate linkages between trained
individuals and potential employers to
improve their chances of successful job
placement.
