Management Sciences for Health (MSH) invites you to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for your engagement on an upcoming consultancy for the re-development of a comprehensive employee handbook for US staff.
Introduction
MSH is an international non-profit organization headquartered in Medford, Massachusetts, USA, with a second U.S. office in Arlington, Virginia, USA. The majority of MSH’s approximately 250 U.S. staff work remotely around these cities and across the U.S.
MSH’s mission is “saving lives and improving the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health”.
Proposed Scope of Work
MSH seeks expertise in reviewing the existing US Employee Handbook, assessing the appropriate scope, and tailoring a handbook that effectively outlines and communicates to staff MSH’s existing policies and procedures. This may include: a review of current policies; recommendations for multi-state compliance; implementation of governance and maintenance guidelines; development of a communication plan to inform and engage internal stakeholders; and other services and support that may generally be included in this type of service.
MSH expects the majority of this work to be completed by June 30, 2024.

· Description of experience and three references for work of similar size and scope.
· Summary CV or resume.
· Outline of proposed methodology, including timeline and resources needed.

Health Care Financing
MSH helps governments and NGOs assess their current financial situation and systems, understand service costs, and develop initiatives to use existing funds more effectively and generate additional revenue—all with the goal of supporting a nation’s health priorities.
Health Information
MSH has developed proven methods for rapidly strengthening the analysis and use of existing health data—normally at the province, district, and facility levels—without revising existing recording and reporting requirements. With an emphasis on learning through action, district teams undertake assessments of health services, identify gaps in performance, and design solutions to support better decision-making and, therefore, better management of improved services.
MSH has worked closely with the Health Metrics Network of the WHO to develop a comprehensive approach for enhancing the performance of health information systems and data by employing a practical, strategic planning process that can be carried out by national working groups.
