EGIS STRUCTURES ENVIRONMENT has been awarded a framework agreement for Lot 2 – Solid Waste as part of the European Bank of Investment “Framework Contracts for consultancy services in the Environment & Regional Development sectors”.
Indicative Scope:
• Technical, economic, financial, procurement, environmental and social appraisal, in line with the Bank’s project appraisal cycle;
• Provision of project preparation and implementation support to promoters including management of major technical assistance programmes;
• Monitoring of projects;
• The provision of specific leading expertise in engineering and economics to undertake specific studies or research in a particular area or sub-sector.
Positions:
Technical expert in solid waste management engineering: Engineering or equivalent qualification preferably to masters (MSc) level. At least 10 years of sector experience and relevant technical, in particular related to project evaluation;
Economist/Financial sector expert: Economics or equivalent qualification preferably to MsC or PhD level. At least 10 years of sector experience and relevant economic and financial expertise in economic and financial evaluation of projects;
Experts for procurement, environmental and social matters: University degree (MSc) or equivalent in area of key expertise. At least 10 years of sector experience related to the key area of expertise with a major portion relating to the solid waste management sector, strong knowledge about EU legal framework and policies, IFIs and international standards.
Indicative Area:
The EIB’s activity continues to concentrate mainly on the EU. Outside the EU, EIB lending is based on EU external cooperation and development policies according to mandates given to EIB by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU:
• Pre-Accession: Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries in the enlargement region
• European Neighbourhood: Mediterranean Neighbourhood, EU Eastern Neighbours, Central Asia
• Development: Africa, Pacific and Caribbean (ACP), Republic of South Africa
• Economic Cooperation: Asia and Latin America (ALA)
