Position Description:
The Special Project Intern will work closely with the Project Manager and other department directors and staff to assist in the day to day execution of administrative tasks and special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in scheduling meetings and managing calendar.
- Assist all teams in note taking during weekly internal and external meetings and tracking action items.
- Assist in the development of resources and materials for upcoming actions, events, briefings and meetings.
- Assist in tracking and organizing partner correspondence and legislative follow up.
- Provide support on a number of administrative tasks including outreach emails, invitation emails, preparing spreadsheets, reports, etc.
- Assist in maintaining day-to-day operations, update and streamline systems, processes, and platforms the We Are Home team utilizes.
- Help with additional special projects and collaborate with other interns from the field, digital, legislative, and executive teams.
- Perform ad-hoc research, writing and other duties as they come up.

- Knowledge of, or interest in, local and national immigrant rights organizations and/or the progressive issues.
- Strong commitment to social and racial justice.
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite and Zoom required.

This position reports to: Project Manager
Position Location: Continental U.S with D.C.-area preferred. Remote position
Salary & Benefits: Interns are paid $15/hour. This position is non-exempt and qualifies for overtime status.
Closing Date of Position: Position will remain open until filled.
Duration: The internship will run until June 30th.
Status: Full-time, temporary
