Food Enterprise Solutions (FES) provides tailored services that help small and medium-sized food enterprises (including farmers) in emerging markets navigate complex food quality and food safety requirement. Our primary customers face increasing demands for better food quality and food safety compliance, which are crucial for penetrating local, regional, and global markets. FES is currently recruiting technical experts with a background in food systems working primarily with famers and farm groups to lead a large privately funded project in Colombia. The applicant will be based in the Washington DC area, have 10 + years’ experience, work mainly from FES’ office in Arlington, VA, fluent in Spanish and available for international travel.
Senior Food Systems Program Manager
The Sr. Food Systems Program Manager reports to the FES Vice President for Programs, and will have the following duties:
• Be primary person in FES’ home office responsible for overseeing and supporting field work in Colombia
• Support the field team in developing and monitoring program activities and schedule of deliverables
• Conduct regular field visits to review progress
• Manage others in preparing, help draft, and review all program progress and finance reports
• Serve as client relationship manager to funding partners
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.
Qualification Requirements
• Minimum 10 years international work experience in agriculture, agribusiness, food systems, etc.
• Fluent or near-fluency in Spanish and English
• Master’s degree in a related field
• Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, and also in teams
• Available to work regularly in FES’ home office in Arlington, VA
