Job Description

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. This role allows you to work up to 20 hours per week, giving you the flexibility to focus on your studies. Mobile work within Germany is possible in agreement with your team. 100% mobile work is not possible. The position is remunerated with 15 Euro per hour.

As a Student Assistant in Fundraising at Welthungerhilfe, you’ll get first-hand experience in how one of Germany’s largest development and humanitarian organizations raises funds to fight hunger worldwide.

You’ll support our fundraising team in building and maintaining strong relationships with our donors, from updating and managing donor data to engaging with them through various (digital) channels. Your work will help ensure that our supporters feel valued and connected to the impact they make.

Your responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain information in our fundraising software MFplus.
  • Connect with donors by answering questions via phone and email and help make every supporter feel valued.
  • You support the sending of information materials via mail or email.
  • Help assemble materials and packages that bring our fundraising efforts to life.
  • Assist the team with everyday tasks and organization to ensure everything flows seamlessly.

Your profile

  • You are currently enrolled at a university or college.
  • You have an affinity for working with data models and databases.
  • You are confident in using MS Office applications.
  • You have a strong customer service orientation and a confident, friendly manner, especially on the phone.
  • You work independently, in a structured way, and enjoy performing routine tasks.
  • You enjoy working in an intercultural environment and are an open-minded, approachable person.
  • You have good spoken and written English and German skills.
