Job Description

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. You will work 20 hours/week, to enable you to continue your qualification within the framework of your current studies. Mobile work within Germany is possible in agreement with your team. 100% mobile work is not possible. The position is remunerated with 15 Euro per hour.

The Foundations & Legacy Giving Team is part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships unit within our Marketing Department. It manages the Deutsche Welthungerhilfe Foundation and is responsible for legacy fundraising.

As a student assistant, you will support our team in developing ideas and activities aimed at engaging and building long-term relationships with foundation donors and (potential) legacy givers.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the team in its day-to-day work, especially in maintaining and organizing data related to donors and foundation supporters
  • Conduct target group and market research, and contribute data insights to help improve our fundraising strategies
  • Assist in preparing personalized mailings, project reports, and email campaigns that inform and inspire our supporters
  • Help plan and implement events, both digital and in-person, gaining hands-on experience in event organization
  • Contribute to the updating and improvement of our website content, ensuring it remains clear, engaging, and up to date

Your profile

  • You are currently enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences
  • You are confident using MS Office applications and have strong analytical skills
  • You have a strong customer- and service-oriented mindset
  • You write clearly and confidently
  • You work independently and results-oriented
  • Your English and German skills, both written and spoken, are good
