Sustainable Development Goals Bayer Fellowship - International Public Affairs Team

This role is based out of Bayer’s Washington, DC office. The Fellowship position is for 6-12 months and is half-time (20 hours per week) and paid.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are, under the supervision of the Head of International Public Affairs (IPA), to:

  • Support project management and preparation of Bayer’s participation in major global conferences, among others UN Climate Change Conference, UN Biodiversity Conference, G20/B20, Davos, Fall and Spring World Bank Meetings.
  • Write blogs, articles and talking points on issues related to health and development, food security, women’s health, innovation and the SDGs;
  • Research on relevant topics;
  • Support the relations with key international organizations, networks and stakeholders;

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent written communications skills;
  • Research experience;
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working in or with international organizations (such as the UN System, World Bank, etc);
  • Educational background with a focus in international relations, development issues, public affairs, or communications;
  • Experience building partnerships in the private, public or nonprofit sectors;
  • Excellent understanding of current political, environmental, economic and development affairs;
  • Understanding of the international stakeholder landscape, their interactions and relevance for Bayer;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent English skills. Spanish and/or German language skills are a plus.
