PSI seeks candidates for the position of Intern to conduct a systematic literature review of the effectiveness of social marketing interventions through database searches, searching for grey literature, abstract coding, and critical review of literature. This literature review will serve as an evidence base for PSI to support communications about its work in social marketing to external stakeholders.

This internship position is based in Washington, D.C. and reports to the Researcher. This is a paid position. The ideal candidate will work a minimum of 25 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct literature searches through online and internal databases
  • Organize and compile searches
  • Code abstracts
  • Summarize results of literature review
  • Develop web-based presentation of literature review results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in health sciences, sociology, economics, or related field plus 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience conducting literature reviews
  • Familiarity with online publication search engines
  • Past quantitative research experience preferred
  • Must posses excellent analytical and writing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
