Profile required Qualifications and skills
• Should preferably have a Masters Degree or equivalent in: Development Economics, Social Sciences or Natural Resource Management or relevant discipline General and specific professional experience • At least 5 years of experience in planning, administration and financial management of Strategic Grain Reserve national structures or similar institutions. • Preferably practical experience in ISO9000 certification. • Practical experience and excellent knowledge concerning the management of grain stocks. • Specific knowledge of Food Security Budget Line / EDF programmes would be an advantage. They should have demonstrated experience in the following areas: • Ability to motivate, build capacity and empathy with different cultures. • Experience as a trainer and technical assistant. • Knowledge of policy issues relating to poverty, and ability to undertake institutional and economic analysis. • Excellent written and communications skills in English. • Experience in sub-Saharan Africa would be an advantage.
