Tax Transformation Office Advisors
Background:
In February 2017, the Ethiopian Revenue & Customs Authority (ERCA) Director General established a Tax Transformation Office (TTO) within his office, with the objectives of supporting and delivering an ambitious tax transformation. The primary aim of the TTO is to support and track the implementation of a series of tax reform initiatives by enhancing escalation channels and reporting mechanisms across ERCA’s hierarchy and systems. The TTO is structured around Priority Areas for reform including Audit, Large Taxpayers Office, Organizational Health, Data and IT, Customs and Tax System. Each Priority Area consists of two to five initiatives, led by an Advisor. Maxwell Stamp is providing support to ERCA and the TTO, with UK DFID’s funds.
About the Role:
Advisors will work directly to support the Head of the TTO to ensure the success of the ERCA’s tax initiatives. Each advisor will be paired with a professional from within ERCA, whom they will be responsible for coaching and training. Responsibilities and duties will include:
