IPE Global has a strong Consortium in place to deliver the objectives of the SHARPE programme in Ethiopia along with a strong core team for project delivery. We are looking for a senior team leader to provide leadership to the project and be responsible for the overall management and delivery of SHARPE.
SHARPE is a 39-month programme, which aims to increase sustainably the net economic returns to refugees and hosts communities through both increased gains and decreased losses. The programme will pilot and scale up making markets work for the poor (M4P) approaches among refugee and host communities within the Gambella Region, Jijiga, and Dollo Ado. The programme is expected to begin in the last quarter of 2018.
Key Responsibilities:
The Team Leader will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of SHARPE. S/he will ensure that the team is performing to a high standard and delivering the proposed outcomes. The Team Leader will ensure that SHARPE’s targets are met and that value for money is achieved.
We are looking for someone with strong convening power and the ability to manage a diverse team across different sites. This senior position will work with key internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, consortium partners and the donor. The team leader should be comfortable with economic development programmes as well as humanitarian situations. S/he should have good technical understanding of M4P and refugee situations but be able to manage an empowered team effectively. The Team Leader will ensure that SHARPE’s targets are met, and that value for money is achieved. He or she will report to IPE Global Programme Director and to DFID Ethiopia. S/he will be the public face of the programme, and will have overall responsibility for the following areas:
