For an upcoming 24-months assignment in Bulgaria (credit line of EUR 15,000,000 million), we are looking for a Banking Expert who covers all aspects of SME-lending. An SME lending scheme will be implemented in the head office of the bank, as well as in a substantial number of branches all over the country. The consultant will have to train and advise the local staff in terms of lending methodology, marketing, product development and HR-management.
Professional experience:
- University degree in finance or economics - Broad bank experience, preferable with a focus on SME-lending - Good knowledge of the banking system in Bulgaria and/or other transitional countries - Especially good knowledge of lending practice in transitional countries - Experience in programme management at a senior level, as well as hands-on experience in training and coaching of loan officers and management stuff - Work experience in a transition economy - Knowledge of, and experience in, cash-flow oriented lending to small entreprises - Experience in branch management and in the (re-)structuring of a credit department in a bank, preferably in a transition economy
Personal profile:
- Strong communication and intercultural management skills, being able to deal with all levels of the partner bank´s staff - Experience as a team leader of several short term consultants
