Technical Assistance Manager

Ghana

We are currently seeking a Technical Assistance Manager to work with the Ghana Adolescent Reproductive Health Team Leader, Capacity Building Advisor and the Regional Representative in mapping out technical assistance requirements, developing scope of works, facilitating mobilisation of advisers and quality assuring the deliverables.

Primary responsibilities

The TA Manager will be responsible for coordination and technical oversight of all technical assistance support to Ghana Adolescent Reproductive Health Programme grantees (27 Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), Regional Coordination Council (RCC) of the Brong Ahafo region, national level Government of Ghana partners and NGO grantees.

Essential education and experience required

  • University bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • At least five years’ experience working on a major donor funded project (DFID, USAID) or public service agency.
  • Experience in technical assistance management.
  • Knowledge of management systems
  • Knowledge of competency assessment
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality assurance in wide variety of tasks and with large volume of project material demanding quality standards, under a high degree of time pressure.

  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, including project partners, donors, private sector, NGOs, and government departments/district assemblies
  • Strong results orientation and commitment to accountability and value for money
  • Strong personal qualities, including integrity, commitment to excellence, equality, openness, inclusiveness, and collegiality
  • Strong numeracy and familiarity with budgeting and forecasting expenditure.
  • Experience in non-profit settings preferred
