We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Director/ Environmental Governance for an anticipated USAID Natural Resource Security and Governance (NRSG), Save Forests and Biodiversity Project. The five-year project seeks to strengthen environmental resilience by reducing environmental crimes and unsustainable environmental practices, developing the natural resource sector, and strengthening natural resource governance. This position is subject to project award and funding.
Position Description:
The Technical Director/ Environmental Governance will provide technical leadership and inputs to the project in the field of environmental governance. as well as provide additional support as needed to the Chief of Party (COP). S/he will work with relevant ministries and departments and sub-national government entities, other public and private sector institutions and stakeholders engaged in environmental governance efforts. S/he will work with stakeholders and actors engaged in policy advocacy efforts to support improved environmental governance in Philippines. Further, s/he help guide project activities and capacity development efforts designed to improve environmental governance. In collaboration with the project COP, s/he will maintain close coordination with USAID and other stakeholders, ensuring that all project interventions are of high quality and lead to measurable impact. S/he will be responsible for supporting the COP in the timely and effective implementation of project activities, deliverables and execution, monitoring and reporting of the project interventions to USAID.
