The Pragma Corporation seeks a Technical Proposal Writer to serve as the lead writer for upcoming USAID RFPs in the economic growth and trade areas. This will include, drafting the technical proposal content and other key proposal sections such as key personnel, management/staffing plan, past performance/corporate capability statements, and other cross-cutting themes/sections of the proposals. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in economic growth-related areas. Specifically, the Technical Proposal Writer will:

  • In close collaboration with Pragma’s subject matter experts (SMEs), the Technical Proposal writer will lead the technical proposal writing processes.
    Interpret RFP/donor solicitation requirements and develop compliant and competitive outlines in collaboration with the SMEs/technical leads.
  • Participate in technical strategy and design meetings with the proposal team.
  • Organize and synthesize technical inputs and capture information from SMEs, ensuring it is adequately reflected in proposal drafts.
  • Harmonize and integrate different sections and content from multiple writers into one cohesive, responsive, and persuasive proposal that is “one-voice”.
  • Revise drafts in response to feedback and comments in collaboration with the proposal team.
  • Provide any useful technical guidance and recommendations that will help improve the quality of the final technical proposal.

LOE and start date: Up to 40 days starting o/a mid-October

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in economics, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 8 years of proposal writing experience for RFPs/RFIs.
  • Demonstrated success in writing winning proposals for USAID or other international donor agencies or institutions.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills and strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
