Technical Support (Capacity Building), Agricultural Growth Program-Agribusiness and Market Development (AGP-AMDe) Program , Ethiopia
We are currently seeking technical assistance in integrated industry alliance capacity building for the ongoing USAID-funded Agricultural Growth Program-Agribusiness and Market Development (AGP-AMDe) Program in Ethiopia. The project uses a value chain approach to strengthen the agriculture sector, enhance access to finance and stimulate innovation and private sector investment. AGP-AMDe will transform the comparative advantages of specific value chains into competitive advantages that benefit all stakeholders, especially smallholder farmers, including women. AGP-AMDe expects more than 1 million smallholder producers to benefit over the program’s five years.
Through support to the Women’s Agribusiness Leadership Network (WALN), AGP-AMDe is supporting capacity building among women through leadership training, mentorship and networking to women in agribusiness and through institutional development technical and financial assistance (integrated industry alliance capacity building). WALN aims to develop enhanced leadership capability that will enable women to grow and manage their business more profitably; build skills in key areas such as negotiation, marketing, networking and communication; develop professional networks with women leaders in agriculture and related business; and serve as mentors and role models to aspiring business women in their networks and communities.
