Job Description

Position: Techno-Economic Analyst

Location: North Africa

Duration: 6-months

Scope of work will comprehensively assess the readiness to adopt and deploy a green hydrogen strategy (National Strategy), covering vital aspects such as production, storage and consumption of hydrogen in electricity production, the policy and regulatory framework in place for transitioning to green hydrogen, the preparedness of various sectors to embrace and implement green hydrogen technologies, and the potential opportunities for green hydrogen production and consumption within country, and the possibility of exporting via pipelines or tanks.

Education.

· Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Geology, Economics, or related field. Any advanced degree in one of those fields will be an advantage.

Demonstrated successful experience and past performance.

· 15 years of professional experience in power sector/oil/gas sector or related regulatory sectors.

· Experience in a senior position in undertaking technoeconomic analysis at a national/international level.

· Experience in assessing the deployment of a green hydrogen strategy at a national/international level.

· Evidence of knowledge of international best practices covering hydrogen production, storage, and consumption of hydrogen in electricity production including related policy and regulatory framework.

· Experiences/capacity to design/conduct/deliver trainings in the field of development of a roadmap for deployment of a national green hydrogen strategy.

Experience in North African Countries (Regional Experiences).

· Experiences as the Technoeconomic Advisor for one similar project/assignment in North Africa.
