Project Overview

The Transform Digital Spaces (Transform) Activity is a three-year global pilot initiative funded by USAID and led by IREX. Transform supports practical approaches to preventing, mitigating, and responding to Technology-Facilitated Gender Based Violence (TFGBV), with a focus on addressing violence experienced by women in politics and public life. Transform focuses on three countries, Georgia, Guatemala, and Kenya. The Transform Activity is co-implemented by a consortium of partners that includes Pact.

Position Purpose

As part of Transform’s efforts, Pact is seeking a consultant with demonstrated professional experience working in fields related to gender-based violence (GBV), with knowledge of GBV referral processes, GBV service providers, and case management. The successful applicant will also be familiar with technology facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), also referred to as online harassment and abuse, as a form of GBV which is a growing global concern. The successful applicant will have the requisite experience to update a draft TFGBV referral pathway toolkit based on professional expertise and inputs from stakeholders in Transform’s three focus countries. The successful applicant will be familiar with survivor-centered approaches and developing training of trainers (TOT) curriculum to be delivered to CSO staff from organizations that provide services to GBV survivors.

Key Responsibilities

· Review inputs collected from stakeholders, and use to revise and strengthen the TFGBV Referral Pathways Toolkit.

· Prepare a final version of the Toolkit suitable for client review.

· Based on the draft Toolkit and drawing from professional experience, develop a short document of universal guidance on a survivor-centered approach to TFGBV case management.

· Develop a TOT curriculum for a select number of CSOs in each of Transform’s three focus countries. The TOT curriculum will showcase the Toolkit and provide general guidance on how to integrate the Toolkit into organizational workflows. The TOT will be delivered virtually in a 45-60 minute time block.

· Deliver TOT to select organizations in one session per country (3 sessions) with Pact’s GESI advisor.

· Prepare for and participate in weekly check in calls with Pact’s GESI Advisor, at more frequent intervals if required.

Requirements

· 7-10 years experience working on issues related to GBV, preferably with experience with GBV referral pathways

· Professional fluency in spoken and written English.

· Experiencing writing/producing technical documents for USAID or similar donors on gender and inclusion related issues.
