The Caribbean Development Bank (The Bank/CDB) has an outstanding opportunity for a total rewards leader. We seek a skilled Total Rewards Specialist (TRS) to lead in formulating and delivering CDB’s Total Rewards strategy and objectives and shape how Total Rewards support and sustain a high-performing culture that attracts, engages, retains, and rewards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As TRS, you will impact the Bank by demonstrating thought leadership in developing total rewards methodologies and approaches, implementing new initiatives, and directing the service delivery of first-class total rewards programmes. You will work with our wider internal client group and business leaders to bring together components contributing to the value of working at CDB. The operational scope of the role includes compensation and benefits policies and programmes, rewards and recognition programmes, HRIS and people analytics, and budget forecasting and management.
The responsibilities of the TRS include:
1. Leading the design and implementation of CDB’s total rewards framework based on market best practices and best fit for CDB to support its employee value proposition objectives.
2. Researching and compiling information on trends impacting the competitiveness of CDB’s total rewards structures and practices and recommending necessary changes.
3. Designing and implementing initiatives to create a strong reward and recognition culture.
4. Establishing and monitoring benefits’ service level agreements with vendors and providers’, addressing challenges that impact employee experience.
5. Leading the benefits renewal cycles with vendors and providers, ensuring value for money in medical, life and other insurance benefits plans.
6. Administering CDB’s pension schemes and ensuring timely enrollment of eligible staff, payment of benefits and education of staff on benefits.
7. Leading the annual budget planning exercise for the Division.
8. Managing the Division’s technology platforms, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and compliance with relevant policies and governance.
9. Managing the people operation’s analytical function, providing managers access to critical people metrics.
10. Engaging in job evaluation design and reviewing new positions for grade and salary recommendations.
11. Supporting the Division’s initiatives related to performance, development, diversity training and development and wellbeing.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:
1. Have exceptional HR acumen, including HR strategy, HR business partnership total rewards, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. They should have a track record of enhancing employee experience and positioning total rewards as a key feature of the employee value proposition.
2. An advanced degree in business plus further professional development in human resources. Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) qualifications are preferred processional certifications for this role.
3. A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in a total rewards/ compensation environment, including the design and policy setting for total rewards or compensation and benefits.
4. Strong experience with HRIS core software, e.g. Workday, SuccessFactors.
5. Quantitative analysis and/or applied statistics skills and proven ability to present complex concepts and calculations clearly and persuasively by identifying the key issues at stake.
6. A motivated self-starter with the ability to think quickly, be flexible, and multi-task in a fast-moving environment while providing exceptional service to stakeholders.
