To develop our activity and coordinate projects in Africa, Eastern Europe and Middle East, we are seeking:
TRANSPORT ECONOMIST
POSITION:
Assist in preparation of traffic/ economic analysis requirements of Terms of Reference, advise on quality and adequacy of technical proposals submitted by consultants, ensure required standards are met and are correctly systematically applied in all road studies.
Responsible for monitoring economic evaluation of projects.
Carry out a review of the underlying economic factors pertaining to various projects and carry out a review of the benefit and cost streams.
Review analysis of economic indicators such as the Net Present Value, the First Year Rate of Return and Economic Internal Rate of Return as well as project staging options, where applicable, for optimum timing and maximum benefits.
Ensure that the traffic and economic analysis for all studies, irrespective of the funding arrangements are carried out to the same standards and that the results are directly comparable.
PROFILE:
MSc Degree or equivalent qualified with Post Graduate Qualifications in Transport related discipline
10 Years of experience in traffic forecasting, economic assessments and financial appraisal for transportation projects
Strong knowledge of technical transport planning environments
Ability to produce methodologies and method statements
CONDITIONS:
Duration: long term – project duration
